So we were playing around with berry infused Smirnoff last night, putting some in a Red Eye bottle and adding a dash of Ribena to dilute. I do mean a very small dash.

Low and behold, I'm on the bus this morning going to uni, and I take a big gulp of what I think is leftover Red Eye (there was at least one bottle of that around, and note that this vodka smells -sweeter- than Ribena...) and realise I've just taken a big shot of vodka. And I'm already slightly late for class.

*was totally drunk at uni today...*

And so now I am going off to sleep, in a room that is the only one left looking vaguely lived in before our move in about a week and a half...

All...and I do mean ALL..the dislocated cockroaches have moved in here. And they woke me up by crawling on my face last night. At 3am. Went to the spare room, cockies in there too.

Slept on the couch, tears streaming down my face as I huddled under a few cushions having vivid nightmares about huntsmen spiders crawling on me. I had to wake up at 7am to go to work.

Please, pray there are no cockies in my bed right now, or I will cry.

Oh, also, I have a test in the morning. :|... And it's 11.15. And I am already scared of the cockroaches. :'(.

P.S I'm moving out. At the start of next year. I need to try it, I just need to. You heard it here first. (The awesome thing is I don't have to look far, there is a house that is v v willing to take me on....there is soooo little stopping me right now. Seriously.)

Yay for energy drink withdrawl! Methinks the day I got not much sleep was not a good one to start the attempt at dextox. Why is it I always wake up early and can never get to sleep during semester??? Stupid deadlines ><.

I"m going to stumble around a bit longer before falling asleep ... bah. The redbull tomorrow will taste so sweet...

Lost my wallet market day, but got an email saying it'd been found ! :D

So relieved, I don't even care if the nearly 100 bucks is still inside.

YAY!

WHY DID I JUST WORK THIS OUT??

Staying at hotel in middle of nowhere, no internet cafe within walking distance and so I thought on day three of our trip I should flick through the visitors' book. Turns out you dial 9 to find info on the wireless internet. The lovely receptionist told me the network key, and I asked her how much it was, only to be told it was free! SCHWEEEEEEEET....hahaha...

So um yes. Things.

Yamba is fine and all, went swimming a few times and it's beautiful. I seem to have a new affection for the waves. Paying for it in burny skin, but hey :P. Found some nice shampoo yesterday ... mmm, lavender ... and the room has an awesome plasma HDTV...I thinks I'm in love :P.

Am really enjoying the quiet, though the damned construction outside my window at freaking 6 am (7am NSW time) kind of killed that vibe.

I have pictures of orange hair!! Butbutbut no cables to get it onto computer with. It's fun, I is proper carrottop :D. I look like a long lost Weasley sister.

/random -- I wonder how many people have gone to doctors or physios with Wii related injuries. Specifically guitar hero related. :P

That's about all that is exciting...listened to audiobooks of His Dark Materials...cried in the end as always. Looking forward to movie a LOT. If you haven't been to the movie website already, go! They have a 'real' alethiometer :P.

So um yeah. I still am undecided on what I think of the outcome ><.

My electorate contains Kevin Rudd so my vote would have been throwaway, whatever I decided to do with it. From what I've heard my parents generation say about Labour, it's nothing good. Howard has done some good shit, and stands for a lot of shit that ... shits me ><. I guess it's a good time for a change, and hopefully the economy doesn't go to shit.

It annoys me that the greens are still preferencing with Labour, coz of the whole pulp mill issue. The greens dude was being interviewed last night on the election thingy and he was basically asked the question "how the hell can labour get rid of the mill--labour is all about jobs and they're not going to turf 1000s of people out on their arses, plus they already endorse it and say they're not going to change their mind on anything once they get in power..."....greens dude was kinda stumped but hey. I don't know.

Pisses me off, all the gimicky stuff to do with propaganda and political advertising....all the Kevin 07 bullshit...how many Labour votes did that win? How many stupid youtube videos about John Howard lost Liberal votes, or made it 'uncool' to vote Liberal? I do feel sorry for the guy, booted out of his seat. But I bet it feels good to sleep in this morning. And hopefully not have the chaser intruding on your morning walk.

Also -- Kathykins was right: http://www.obernewtyn.com.au/ the official release date /was/ November this year, but methinks Carmody will have a lynch mob at her house if she doesn't stick to this new date.

I must buy these books! I still don't have copies. Grr. And read them.

I think i'll post a xmas wishlist, so I know what to tell family to buy me anyway ><. I have never really managed to go out and buy people stuff, though if you come out to town with me before I go on holidays in all likelyhood if you say 'oh i want this sometime in my life when i have money!' you will get an early xmas present ><. Hehe. *hopes jenni likes her shiny* :)

Work forgot to tell me about changed shifts...fucking work...means I've spent money on a taxi, got up early and don't get to see my dearest (who I haven't seen for a week :( ) for an extra 5 hours. Grrr. Counting down to 6pm!

I'm going to watch Escaflowne and chow down on tasty tasty food. :)

PS Saw Whitlams -- omg. So amazing. Tim Freedman bought a guy on stage who RAPPED to a brand new song. Omg. So different. So weird. Like the first time you hear that sort of mix in Linkin Park...I'd never thought it could work...but wow!! Met Tim again, would have a picture but had to wait and had to go home for work grrrr....grrrrrr......But got signitures of Tim, Jak and the new drummer dude. Wish could have gotten Warwick's signiture, but he wasn't hanging around. Whitlams fans, you missed something special. He even responded to the calls of "HAMBURGERS!" and played a little...tried to get orchestra to improvise...but they wouldn't...particially coz it wasn't on the program. Naughty Tim, he looked guilty about it when I (fangirlily) said "I play the violin, I would have chipped in!!!" haha.
